Success! Champagne! My wife has her green card thanks to Jennifer and her very capable and helpful staff. We are both extremely happy with the service and results we had with Pyrus Law.

As a wedding present, my best friend set me up with an initial consultation with Jennifer where she gave me a ton of practical advice about dates, required steps, various strategies and options. This helped guide our decisions until we officially kicked off the immigration process back in December of 2018.

My wife is Swedish and I am a native-born US citizen. I can’t tell you how many times my friends in the US thought that getting married to a US citizen results in an instant a green card. Far from it. It’s a lot of effort, time, expense and uncertainty to get that card for your spouse. You have to keep your eye on the ball the whole way. And that’s for those of us with white privilege! I shudder to think what it must be like for my less pale pals in the current dumpster fire of an administration.

Anyway, 13 months later, my wife’s green card arrived in the mail. Let me tell you, there is no way we could have gotten results this quickly without the aid of a solid immigration attorney like Jennifer. Her team shepherded us through the entire process ensuring that all of our forms were filled out correctly, all required documentation was complete and submitted properly and on time.

There were, of course, a couple of annoying bureaucratic hitches along the way causing a lot of headbanging and tears, I can tell you, but the Pyrus Law team was responsive and helped us resolve them. In 2017 my partner and I were engaged and were looking for an immigration attorney to help with my adjustment of status. Apparently, INS has now caught up on its backlog and is much more current than before.

I was very impressed by how quickly, diligently, and effortlessly ( for me) they put the application together and submitted it on my behalf. I went through a nightmarish process dealing with the USCIS when applying for my wife's permanent residency. I decided to do all the paperwork on my own and reading through all the instructions thoroughly, it didn't seem like a difficult application to complete (I'm in the medical field and I fill our paperwork constantly).

Of course, one small oversight in the paperwork on my part, lead to the complete meltdown of the USCIS application process. At no fault of my own, my application was apparently split in two separate packages at two different offices that were not communicating with each other! We even got a notice for interview, both took off work, only to be turned away since the local office somehow failed to receive our complete application from the main office! (No joke, true story).

So when the processing time dragged out way too long, and through a lifelong friend, I contacted Pyrus Law to represent my case to get the answers we deserve. I'm actually located in NYC and Pyrus Law was able to rectify the situation all through web-chats and phone calls. They were on top of the whole process that I never felt alone nor neglected even though we were on different time zones.
